DALLARDS DOMINATE WITH A FAMILY DOUBLE

Poole’s newest trampoline club – Renascence made a huge impact in the 2006 South West Championships held at Wellspring Leisure Centre, Taunton on Sunday 12th November 2006.

Renascence, based at Broadstone Leisure Centre, took 7 competitors to the event and came home with 3 South West Champions, 3 silver medallists, 1 Bronze medallist and 1 team silver.

Its was the Under 9 Girls team that took the team medal for Renascence, whilst individually Rebecca Sandt finished in 2nd place whilst team mates Ella Mae Bolton and Celine Yeatman finished in very respectable 7th and 12th.

The Under 9 Boys saw the first of the Dallards in the form of Jasper who took the title of South West Champion for 2006. It was then the turn of older sister Sapphire who completed the family double by comfortably winning the Under 11 Girls event; making her South West Champion for 2006, and completing the family double.

Rhya East put in a solid performance in the Under 18 Girls event to finish 3rd amongst some of the best in the country, however, not satisfied with this, Rhya raised her game later in the day to take the silver medal in the Ladies event.

Harvey Donnelly completed a forth consecutive title by claiming the Under 18 Boys, and later increased the difficulty of his routine to earn an extremely commendable silver medal in the Men’s, beaten only by one of the top male trampolinists in the country.

Erika Thorne – former Lead Coach of OLGA Trampoline Club and Renascence Trampoline Club team manger said “I could not have wished for a better start for the club. All the performers jumped admirably and I hope they have set the standard for the future of Renascence”
