RENASCENCE HAVE THEIR FIRST INTERNATIONAL PERFORMERS!!!
CONGRATULATIONS to EMILY MULCAHY for becoming the first performer from RENASCENCE to be selected for an INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION. Emily travelled to Pencoed Sports Centre on the 25th October this year to trial for the Home Nation Championships. This trial was for the Welsh Double Mini Trampoline team. After an outstanding performance Emily was successful in being selected as part of the team.
Emily then had to travel to Abertillery Sports Centre on the 9th November yet again to trial for the Home Nation Championships. This time the trial was for the Individual & Synchronized Trampoline events again to represent Wales. We started off with the Individual event and Emily performed her first routine like a true international performer earning her 3rd position at this stage. The nerves were running really high as there was so much at stake. Her second routine did not go to plan with Emily not managing to complete the 10 required moves. After that small hiccup Emily then had to pull herself together for the Synchronized event with her partner Sophie Lewis from Edgbarrow. Emily & Sophie competed two fantastic routines that led the way throughout the trial.
With a fantastic first routine and doing enough in the second routine for the Individual event Emily was selected, also Emily & Sophie were selected for the Synchronized event.
Emily is the only member of the entire Welsh Squad who is competing in all three event and we would like to wish her and Sophie GOOD LUCK for the competition.
A big well done to HARRIET MULCAHY for being selected as a reserve for the WELSH DOUBLE MINI TRAMPOLINE TEAM for the HOME NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Harriet travelled to Pencoed Sports Centre on the 25th October this year to trial for the Home Nation Championships. This trial was for the Welsh Double Mini Trampoline team. Harriet`s group for this event was one of the biggest on the day and with two performers already been pre-selected there were only two places left. Harriet competed her passes brilliantly and could not have done any better which resulted in her being selected as reserve. Harriet will be travelling to the International Competition as part of the Welsh Team. We hope you have a great time Harry.
A big well done to JASPER DALLARD and EMILY MULCAHY for being selected to represent the SOUTH WEST REGION at the ENGLISH CHAMPIONSHIPS.
Renascence travelled with a small group of performers to GL1 Sports Centre on the 26th October this year for the SOUTH WEST CHAMPIONSHIPS. All performers did extremely well especially Jasper & Emily. Jasper became the U11 Boys Individual Champion and also won the U15 Boys Double Mini Trampoline Competition earning him a place in the team. If Jasper performs really well at the English Championships he will be in the running for selection to the Home Nations Championships making him one of the youngest International performers ever from England. Emily had very stiff competition in the Ladies event. After competing two great routines she came a commendable 4th earning her place in the team. Good Luck to you both.
