On Friday 17th July 2009, our Nationals team braved the weather to travel to Birmingham for this year's National Championships. With Friday night being the usual pre-nats training, everything looked good for the weekend.
The Saturday preliminaries began at 8.30am and ran all day, finishing at 7.30pm, making this year the longest Saturday in history!!!!.
As normal with our sport, not every routine went to plan, however from our 14 entries (trampoline and DMT), 7 made it through to the finals on the Sunday.
Remembering that all finals start from a zero score, it means that the final results all rest on this one last routine, and by the end of Sunday, Renascence had achieved its most successful National Finals to date.
Jasper Dallard retained a National title, although this year he chose to win the Under 15 Double Mini Tramp event, whilst his sister Sapphire attained her first podium place at a National Finals finishing in 3rd place in the FIG B Under 15 Girls DMT event.
This year saw the return of Dina Larkin the National Finals, and what an amazing return it was. Dina finished the weekend with a silver medal in her Trampoline event and a bronze medal in her DMT event.

As with last year, we would like to thank the many club members and parents who gave up the time to attend the event to support our gymnasts. Special thanks to Erika who gave up her right to be on the competition floor, to Judge for our club - allowing us to enter!!
